You know, honestly, I don't blame them.
I am enjoying Manhunter, but then, I am already invested in the character.
If I had never heard of Kate Spencer, and all I saw was #26, I don't think I would have necessarily been drawn into it. No fights with bad guys in costumes. Lots of court scenes. Dimly lit images of Sasha Bourdeaux.
If I'm not a fan of Manhunter already, and I don't follow Checkmate, why am I caring about this? It's a good story for US, but I guess they don't just write stories with you and me in mind.
Jeez, I wish I hadn't waited for the TPBs now...
